This drink is simple and easy to make at home, yet it retains elegance and complexity, it is a great example of how a drinks individual components can come together to create something unique and extraordinary. Effort-less, built in a glass cocktail that is so good that you’ll find yourself pouring two and not sharing. It’s light, bright and dry - ideal for summer afternoons or cosy winter evenings inside by the fire. It is an ideal aperitif cocktail and the cognac lends itself perfectly to pairing with food.

Pub culture is a thing truly unique to the English, a public social gathering place, that is almost sacred to some. In more recent years, there has been a renaissance of pubs offering restaurant quality food and drink, or ‘gastro-pubs’. You are most likely able to find the above ingredients in a good local pub, and even if they don’t offer cocktails, this drink an easy request to make for the bartender. Pair with a hearty scotch egg, crispy whitebait or chips, this drink is french at heart but is almost made for a English pub.

Sip & Enjoy!
